How do I get a Redi Pay BlingTag

You can pick up a Redi Pay BlingTag at any participating State Bank branch.

I’m not a customer of The State Bank. Can I still get a Redi Pay BlingTag?

You will need to have a checking account with The State Bank. We’ll gladly help you get started. Stop by The State Bank at 124 Colorado Ave. and we’ll be happy to help you.

How does the BlingTag work?

The Redi Pay BlingTag is similar to a debit card in that it’s linked to your State Bank checking account. You can make transactions based on the available funds in your checking account.

When you transact at the merchant you simply tap the Redi Pay BlingTag on the Blinger (POS). You will receive an SMS text message on your mobile phone confirming your transaction. The SMS message will also include your updated checking account balance and Rewards balance.

Where can I use my BlingTag?

You can use your Redi Pay Bling at any merchant displaying the Bling Bug. You can also look for participating merchants on the merchants link.

I was making a purchase and the Bling terminal asked for my pin number?

We are committed to protecting our customers from fraud. As a safety feature, you may occasionally be prompted to confirm your identity by entering your PIN number. This process only takes seconds.

I received a call on my mobile phone to enter my PIN. What do I do?

Unless you are activating your pin number for the first time, you should immediately hangup and contact the bank.

What if the merchant I shop at doesn’t accept Redi Pay Bling?

Let us know and we’ll invite them to join the Redi Pay program.

My Redi Pay BlingTag has never worked. What should I do?

Be sure that your Redi Pay BlingTag has been activated by the Bank. If you continue to have difficulty please call or come into the Branch so we can assist you.

Do I have to have a mobile phone to have a Redi Pay BlingTag?

While it’s not required it’s strongly recommended. The Redi Pay BlingTag will communicate with you via SMS messages and occasionally a PIN requirement. In that sense the mobile phone would be necessary to complete the transaction.

I lost my mobile phone and my Redi Pay BlingTag was attached. What do I do?

Call the State Bank as soon as you realize your Redi Pay BlingTag is missing so that it can be disabled. A new BlingTag can be issued immediately at the Bank.

I don’t recognize a Redi Pay purchase on my account?

No problem, call or come into the Branch so we can assist you.

I think I’ve damaged my Redi Pay BlingTag. What do I need to do?

No problem. Call or come by and we’ll issue you a new Redi Pay BlingTag while you wait.

Do I have to go through a particular carrier?

The BlingTag will work with any mobile carriers (e.g. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint) that provides SMS (texting) services on your mobile account.

How do I reset my BlingTag PIN?

Contact the State Bank and once we have confirmed your identity we will be able to reset your BlingTag PIN.

I have a new mobile phone with a same phone number. What do I need to do to move my BlingTag to my new phone?

You will need to get a new BlingTag, as the BlingTags are not transferable to a new mobile device. Please contact the State Bank to get a new BlingTag.

I have a new mobile phone with a new number. What do I have to do to register my new phone?

Please contact the State Bank to get a new Redi Pay BlingTag. Customer Service will also need to link your new mobile number to your new Redi Pay BlingTag.

How does the bank pay rewards?

With every purchase you can earn 3% of the first $100 per transaction. If you receive text messages on your phone, the sytem may tell you how many points you have accrued. These points will become available to redeem at your next purchase at a Bling merchant. The points are not redeemable for cash.

My BlingTag is peeling off. How can I get a new tag?

Stop by the State Bank and we’ll issue you a new one while you wait.
